I ordered what I thought was a NEW coffee maker. But from Day One the machine took a long time (up to 5 minutes) to START brewing coffee and it dripped very slowly once it finally started. Our office was using a similar Bunn coffee maker that was over 10 years old and it completed a pot of coffee in 5 minutes flat. The new one took around 15 from start to finish and often didn’t even finish filling up the pot.

I followed all the setup directions to the letter, and just couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Then I checked the drip nozzle and found that it was full of lime! There was just NO WAY that much lime could have accumulated after just 3 days of use. I cleaned the drip head and used the lime cleaner tool included with the coffee maker but still saw little improvement. I ultimately had to use CLR and flush the machine several times to get it to drip properly. It is running much faster now, but it is STILL slower than our old machine.

The only thing I can figure is that I was sent a USED coffee maker instead of a NEW one! If you order this coffee maker, check the drip head RIGHT AWAY! If it has lime in it, SEND IT BACK!
